ABOUT
The Project
Crafted through meticulous research, this powerful narrative film about perinatal mental health tells the story of a new father fighting to keep his life from falling apart.
The Brief
The goal of this film is to engage fathers, particularly during the perinatal period, who may not recognise their vulnerability to mental health challenges. By raising awareness and highlighting available support resources, the film aims to offer guidance and help break the stigma surrounding mental well-being among new and expectant dads.
Our Approach
We recognised early on that reaching the target audience would be a challenge. To ensure the film resonated with fathers, it needed to authentically reflect their real-life experiences. Our approach began with comprehensive research, engaging fathers with lived experience and consulting healthcare professionals. After several weeks of gathering insights, we crafted a story that weaves together everything we learnt, ensuring an impactful and relatable narrative.
The Result
The film was utilised in regional campaigns and social marketing efforts to connect with fathers across the area. It has received praise from both healthcare professionals and fathers with lived experience, earning praise for its authenticity and impact.
