Irish, Blacks & Dogs wins Royal Television Society Award.

BEST SHORT FILM WINNER 2022

Press Record Films is delighted to announce that our short film, “Irish, Blacks & Dogs,” has won the Royal Television Society Midlands Award for Best Short Film. As a film production company based in Coventry, we are proud to have received recognition for our work in the region

Irish, Blacks & Dogs was created as part of Coventry’s year as City of Culture, and made in association with Sky Arts. The film tells the story of an Irish immigrant who suffers a fall and comes in to a heated conflict with the black paramedic that comes to his aide, providing a poignant exploration of the the diaspora experience across generations.

As a company, we are committed to crafting powerful stories that matter and making a positive impact through film. We believe in the power of film to bring people together and to highlight important issues, and we are honoured that the Royal Television Society has recognized the value of our work. Winning this award is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team, as well as the support of our community.

This award follows our continuing success at international film festivals. We are proud to have created a film that is resonating with audiences across the globe and highlighting issues of racism.

As we continue to craft stories that matter and to make a social impact through film, we are excited to see where this award will take us. We are grateful for the recognition we have received and for the opportunity to create films that reflect the experiences and struggles of our community. We hope that our success will inspire others to tell their own stories and to use film as a tool for social change and cultural exploration.
